So spend a wonderful holiday in the Dordogne - this region is the supplier of almost half of France's fine produce: wines, cèpes, truffles, duck and goose. There is plenty to see and do, so much in fact that many of our visitors come back time and time again!
In the heart of the tiny countryside hamlet of St Medard d'Excideuil, nestling beside the beautiful stone Romanesque church is our charming ivy clad house, which sleeps nine adults plus two babies.
The house has a 10m x 5m totally private swimming pool (with Roman steps) which is open between 1st May and 30th September every year. The house has four bedrooms (two doubles, one twin and one triple), modern bathroom (shower and bath), dining room, well equipped kitchen, downstairs wc, and a cosy lounge with big comfortable sofas. There is a large fenced garden complete with barbecue, hammock, chairs and sun loungers.
Our house is child-friendly with two proper (wooden) cots and two high chairs available at no extra charge. The garden contains a swing and a slide, child-sized tables and chairs, plenty of pool toys and inflatables. Access to the pool area is via a secure gate. The garden is also fully secure and gated at all ends.
Linen, bath and pool towels, slippers, tea towels are all provided at no extra charge.
The area is accessible from three major airports: Limoges, Brive and Bergerac, and is approximately a 7 - 8 hour drive from Calais Channel Port, and just over an hours drive from Limoges, 90 minutes from Brive and Bergerac.
The beautiful market town of Excideuil is just 1.7km away, and offers a variety of shops including restaurants, patisseries, banks, a post office, a supermarket, petrol station, bars, coffee shops, butcher's shops and some charming craft and antique stores.
